[¶ 1] Shenice Gail Young appeals from the judgment and sentence entered by the district court after a jury convicted her of one count of aggravated assault and battery and one count of simple battery. Ms. Young's convictions resulted from an altercation involving her former boyfriend and his current girlfriend, ending with Ms. Young biting off a piece of the girlfriend's right ear.
