¶ 1. On August 1, 2001, Alice Jane Leach and Gary Roebuck were involved in a car accident. Roebuck's insurer, Shelter Insurance, filed a complaint in the County Court of Rankin County. Within the complaint, Shelter alleged that Leach drove in a negligent manner, caused the subject accident, and caused Roebuck, their insured, to suffer damages of $6,237.84.
