We granted a supervisory writ of review regarding this pre-trial dispute over plaintiffs' request for a jury trial against a police jury and its insurer. The trial court held that the police jury had not waived its right to a judge trial under La. R.S. 13:5105 and granted the police jury's motion to strike plaintiffs' jury request.
