These appeals arise from an action in which the plaintiffs, Hartford Casualty Insurance Company (Hartford Casualty) and Mitch Wylie, sought a declaratory judgment that the defendant, Litchfield Mutual Fire Insurance Company, had a duty both to defend and to indemnify Wylie pursuant to an insurance policy that it had issued to Wylie.
