Kakuk appeals from an order of indefinite commitment, following a jury trial pursuant to the Jimmy Ryce Act, sections 394.910 to 394.932, Florida Statutes (now renamed the Sexual Predator Act, SPA).1 He was found to be a sexually violent predator because he suffers from a mental disorder which causes him serious difficulty in controlling his aberrant sexual behavior, and which predisposes him to commit sexually violent offenses...
