Appellant, Scottie Edwards, challenges the forty-year sentence imposed upon his conviction for Attempted Murder, a Class A felony.1 Specifically, Edwards argues: (1) that in sentencing him to an enhanced sentence, the trial court relied upon facts not found by a jury in violation of his Sixth Amendment right under Blakely v.
