The appellant, Renaul Maurice Johnson, was convicted of intimidating a witness, a violation of § 13A-10-123, Ala.Code 1975, and of assault in the second degree, a violation of § 13A-6-21(a)(5), Ala.Code 1975. He was sentenced, as a habitual offender, to 25 years' imprisonment for each conviction.
