¶ 1. In July 1996, Dayon James was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to life in prison. James appealed, and the appeal was assigned to the Court of Appeals which reversed the judgment of the trial court and remanded the matter for further proceedings. The State of Mississippi filed a motion for rehearing. The Court of Appeals denied the State's motion for rehearing, withdrew the opinion...
