On August 6, 2003, defendant, Jamie Leighty, was convicted of unlawful possession of methamphetamine-manufacturing chemicals with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine (720 ILCS 570/401(ii) (West 2002)) and criminal drug conspiracy (720 ILCS 570/405.1 (West 2002)).
