The plaintiff, Elizabeth Rogers, sued the defendants for injuries resulting from an incident on a bicycle path. On June 19, 1999, Rogers was riding her bicycle south on the Green Bay Trail near Winnetka, Illinois. The five defendants were walking side by side on the path heading north. Rogers swerved to avoid the defendants and collided with defendant John Reagan, causing her to fall from her bicycle and sustain...
