On November 1, 2001, Ngan Tran ("Tran") and Thong Le ("Le") planned to rob the home of Minh Heiu Thi Huynh ("Minh"), where she lived with her two daughters, Thuy Hang Huynh Nguyen ("Thuy"), age fifteen, and Thanh Truc Huynh Nguyen ("Thanh"), age eleven.
