Justice O'BRIEN delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendants M.H. and W.C.H. brought this interlocutory appeal. We find that we lack jurisdiction to consider the appeal based on the failure of plaintiff J.S.A. to register with the Putative Father Registry. See 750 ILCS 50/12.1 (West 1998).
