The defendant, Frank Robins, was charged by bill of information with two counts of armed robbery, violations of La. R.S. 14:64. The defendant pled not guilty. Prior to trial, the State amended the bill of information to one count of armed robbery. Following a jury trial, the defendant was found guilty of the responsive offense of first degree robbery, a violation of La. R.S. 14:64.1.
