An Alaskan company, Polar Supply Company, Inc. (Polar), purchased a telescopic trolley boom from Steelmaster Industries, Inc. (Steelmaster), a Canadian corporation located in Ontario. Polar had a number of problems with the boom and brought suit against Steelmaster in the Alaska superior court.
