Defendant, Terrance Videau, was convicted of possession of cocaine, LSA-R.S. 40:967(C), and sentenced to five years at hard labor. Defendant filed a motion for new trial, which was denied. Thereafter, the state filed a habitual offender bill of information alleging defendant to be a fourth felony offender.
