On January 30, 2004, the Defendant, John Alden Vallery, Sr., after being indicted for aggravated rape in violation of La.R.S. 14:42, pled guilty to the amended lesser charge of forcible rape in violation of La.R.S. 14:42.1. He was sentenced to imprisonment at hard labor for a term of thirty-five years, without probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
