The State of Alabama filed this petition for a writ of mandamus directing Judge Tracy S. McCooey to vacate the discovery orders relating to Shonelle Andre Jackson's petition for postconviction relief in which he attacked his capital-murder conviction and sentence of death. Jackson was convicted of murdering Lefrick Moore during the course of a robbery and was sentenced to death. Jackson's conviction and death sentence were affirmed on direct appeal. See...
