ROBINSON, Justice.

A jury found defendant, David Gordon, guilty of first-degree arson, conspiracy, and insurance fraud in connection with a fire that destroyed the home of Lorraine L. Holman in Foster on June 5, 1996.1 The trial justice denied the motion for a new trial.2 On December 6, 2002, Gordon was sentenced to serve an eighty-year term of imprisonment on the first-degree arson conviction...
