This case arises from a leasing agent's fee lost when a real estate deal was submarined by bankruptcy proceedings. The president of the leasing agent, a licensed Georgia real estate broker, negotiated the lease deal between a property company and his client. The deal fell apart when his client declared bankruptcy and the bankruptcy judge appointed another leasing agent to handle the lease negotiation.
