Plaintiff Gregory Smith brought this lawsuit against defendant Boyd Bros. Transportation, Inc. (BBT) asserting violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), 29 U.S.C.A. §§ 2601-2654, and state-law claims of defamation, intentional interference with employment opportunities, and negligent-and-wanton training and supervision.
