This appeal addresses whether certain Florida state convictions qualify as predicate felony convictions under the Armed Career Criminal Act ("ACCA"), 18 U.S.C. § 924(e). Alphonso James, Jr. was indicted for possessing a firearm after having been convicted of a felony, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). At sentencing, the district court found that two of James's previous felony convictions...
