Following a bench trial, the defendant, Michael J. Hay, was convicted of robbery (720 ILCS 5/18-1 (West 2002)) and sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment. The defendant appeals, arguing that (1) he was not convicted beyond a reasonable doubt; (2) the trial court failed to admonish him pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 605(a) (188 Ill.2d R. 605(a)); and (3) the trial court erred in imposing an extended sentence...
