On April 9, 2004, the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) filed a petition and declaration of taking pursuant to OCGA § 32-3-1 et seq. to acquire for transportation purposes 0.741 acre of land, the right to dismantle and remove a building situated partly on the condemned land and partly on adjacent land not condemned, and various easements, including a temporary work easement to enter the land not condemned for the purpose of dismantling...
