Defendant, Richard Lee Sims, entered a Crosby1 plea on April 12, 2005, to possession of over 28 grams of cocaine. As part of the plea bargain, he was sentenced to serve five years at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. He was also fined $50,000, but the fine was suspended.
