Appellant David Eugene Wright was convicted in Hennepin County District Court on two counts of felony assault in the second degree. The convictions were based on Wright pointing a firearm at his then-girlfriend R.R. and her teenage sister during an argument that took place in the early morning hours at the apartment Wright shared with R.R.
