¶ 1. Timothy L. Carr was convicted in the Circuit Court of Rankin County of statutory rape and was sentenced to thirty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Carr was required to serve twenty-five years of the thirty-year sentence and was given five years of supervised post-release supervision. Aggrieved, Carr now appeals, asserting a single issue: the circuit court erred in denying the defendant's motion...
