WILLIAMS, Chief Justice.

In 1993 a jury convicted each of the defendants, brothers Sythongsay (Khek) and Soukky (Soukky) Luanglath (collectively defendants), on one count of burglary and three counts of robbery. The defendants then appealed to the Supreme Court arguing, among other things, that the trial justice had improperly denied their motion for a new trial based on the unreliability of the witnesses who testified against them.
