Respondent, Jean Pierre Wright, pleaded guilty to first-degree driving while impaired (DWI) and gross-misdemeanor driving after cancellation as inimical to public safety. The district court then stayed adjudication of respondent's conviction. The state appealed 27 business days after the district court's decision in reliance on Minn. R.Crim.
