On October 3, 1998, Jarrod Myles was operating his 1997 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 truck on U.S. Highway 49 between Belzoni and Indianola in Humphreys County, Mississippi, when he suffered fatal injuries in a single-vehicle accident.
