Defendant, the City of Lake Charles ("the City"), appeals the judgment of the trial court finding that Aretha Brown sustained a job-related injury, and ordering it to reimburse Plaintiff her out of pocket medical costs, pay medical and indemnity benefits, penalties and attorney's fees. The City appeals asserting that Ms. Brown's workers' compensation claim was based on misrepresentations about the occurrence of the accident and the extent of her injuries...
