Douglas Gollhofer pleaded guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of firearms in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1) (2000). In sentencing Gollhofer, the District Court1 found that Gollhofer possessed a firearm in connection with another felony offense and enhanced Gollhofer's base offense level by four pursuant to § 2K2.1(b)(5) of the United States Sentencing Guidelines.
