I. INTRODUCTION

A jury found Ronald Rockstad liable for failing to repay a loan from Gerald Erikson that was secured by a note and deed of trust on Rockstad's home. The superior court awarded Erikson the unpaid sum, including the substantial interest that had accumulated on it, as well as costs and fees. Rockstad claims that the trial court erroneously granted summary judgment to Erikson on Rockstad's statute...
