[¶ 1.] James Shaw (Shaw) appeals his conviction for attempted first degree murder and aggravated assault. We affirm.

FACTS AND PROCEDURE

[¶ 2.] In the summer of 1999, Shaw was employed as a cook at the Crazy Horse monument in Custer County, South Dakota. The victim, J.W.H., was a minor at the time and was also employed at the monument. Both J.W.H. and Shaw were permitted to live on site in trailer...
