John Vasey decided, contrary to his attorney's advice, not to appeal from a final judgment the trial court entered against him in a case he brought against an insurance company. The attorney, who had agreed to accept a contingent fee for representing Vasey, sued Vasey to recover the reasonable value of the services he had provided.
