James A. Mincks (Mincks) pled guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). After finding Mincks's prior Missouri convictions for two second-degree burglaries and for second-degree statutory rape and second-degree statutory sodomy constituted violent felonies, the district court1 sentenced Mincks to 180 months...
