The state appeals from the January 6, 2004 judgment of the trial court rendered following the granting of the motion of the acquittee, Gregory Gillespie, to dismiss the state's petition for an order of continued commitment. On appeal, both the state and the acquittee claim that the trial court's decision should be reversed in light of our Supreme Court's decision in State v. Long, 268 Conn. 508, 847 A.2d 862, cert. denied, ___ U.S. ___, 125 S.Ct....
