Defendant, Joyce Bush, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver (720 ILCS 570/401(d), 407(b)(2) (West 2000)). Following a bench trial, the circuit court of Cook County convicted defendant of both counts and sentenced her to 6½ years in prison.
