¶ 1. Joe Broome was discharged from Mississippi College and denied unemployment benefits on the grounds of misconduct. Broome appealed the denial and was granted a hearing before a Mississippi Employment Security Commission (MESC) appeals referee who determined that the benefits had been properly denied.
