On June 27, 2002, defendant, Manuel L. Pressey, pleaded guilty to escape (720 ILCS 5/31-6(a) (West 2000)) in case No. 01-CF-85 and two charges of burglary (720 ILCS 5/19-1(a) (West 2000)) in case No. 01-CF-96. In July 2002, the trial court sentenced defendant to an extended term of 10 years' imprisonment for escape to be served concurrently with a 7-year prison term...
