In February 1995, petitioner was convicted of robbery in the first degree and sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 41/3 to 13 years. Petitioner was released in February 2000 to parole supervision. In December 2000, petitioner was arrested and later convicted of the crime of manslaughter in the first degree. Petitioner was sentenced as a second violent felony offender to a prison term of 17 years.
