A jury convicted the defendant on two indictments charging rape of a child and two indictments charging indecent assault and battery on a child. The complainant was his younger daughter, thirteen years of age at the time of the incident. The defendant appealed, claiming that a judge in the Superior Court who ruled on certain pretrial motions erroneously had barred him access to potentially exculpatory evidence...
