The defendant, Robert Jones, was convicted of attempted aggravated robbery (720 ILCS 5/8-4(a), 18-5 (West 2002)) and sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment. After a hearing on the defendant's motion to reconsider sentence, the circuit court reduced the defendant's sentence to 18 years.
