On April 16, 2004, pursuant to a negotiated plea agreement, Barbara Fuqua pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of marijuana, a violation of § 13A-12-213, Ala.Code 1975. The trial court sentenced her to 18 months in prison, but suspended the sentence and placed her on probation for 2 years.
