We hold that (1) the term "interested person" as defined in Hawai'i Revised Statutes (HRS) § 560:1-201 (Supp.2003) does not include a party interested solely in challenging a closure order in a probate proceeding;1 (2) a common law presumption of judicial openness accompanies probate proceedings, which may be overcome only upon a showing of strong countervailing reasons that outweigh the public's...
