On June 12, 2003, a Jefferson Parish Grand Jury returned an indictment against defendant, Rynell Dobbins, for second degree murder in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:30.1. Defendant was arraigned on June 16, 2003 and pled not guilty. On October 22, 2003, the trial court found defendant competent to stand trial.
