¶ 1. Jerry McGee was convicted of two counts of armed robbery. Hinds County Circuit Court Judge James E. Graves, Jr. sentenced McGee, as an habitual offender, to serve a life sentence without parole in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. McGee filed a motion for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict or, in the alternative a new trial, which was denied.
