Frederick Donald Payne, Jr. appeals his convictions of aggravated battery and simple battery. Payne contends the trial court erred in denying his motion for new trial on the ground of ineffective assistance of counsel and challenges the sufficiency of the evidence with respect to the aggravated battery charge. He also contends the trial court erred in several of its rulings excluding evidence, in refusing to charge the jury on the defense of accident...
