This case involves a dispute concerning the formula that was to be used to calculate Corrie Wiedmann's (plaintiff's) commissioned wages pursuant to the terms of an oral employment contract. The dispute led to the plaintiff's commencing an action in September, 2001, asserting claims under the common law and G. L. c. 149, § 148, the weekly payment of wages law (weekly wage law).3
