I. INTRODUCTION

The superior court granted summary judgment to the American Legion Spenard Post No. 28 after the defendant, Richard Snyder, failed to appear at trial. After final judgment was entered, Snyder appealed. Subsequently, he moved for relief under Alaska Civil Rule 60(b)(1) and (4). The superior court denied this motion, and from this denial Snyder has also appealed. In this opinion we consider both appeals...
