OPINION BY BECK, J.:

¶ 1 The issue in this case is whether the qualifications for a medical expert under the MCARE Act1 must be met when a medical malpractice claim was filed prior to enactment of the Act, but the expert's testimony was heard after enactment. We hold that the MCARE Act does apply and so affirm.
